Operation Santa Claus

Linda Farrell joins Tom Raffio and Jack Heath in this Thanksgiving Weekend broadcast to share about Operation Santa Claus and its mission to serve children in need.  Established over 50 years ago, Operation Santa Claus is a non-profit organization founded by the State Employees' Association of New Hampshire/SEIU Local 1984.  Operation Santa Claus' mission is to provide holiday gifts for NH children who are without resources and deserving of help.  Without Operation Santa Claus, their holiday would be just another day - without gifts, without things they need, much less want.  Please join us in this podcast to learn more about Operation Santa Claus and what you can do to help.

Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD)

Granite State Baseball Dinner & Thanksgiving Weekend Races

Mike Ramshaw of the Fisher Cats joined Jack Heath and Tom Raffio on this podcast to share about the Granite State Baseball Dinner. The dinner, sponsored by Northeast Delta Dental was held on November 19, 2011 at the Radisson Hotel Expo Center in Manchester. Attendees at the dinner had an opportunity to meet Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Sam Fuld, Chris Carpenter, and other special guests. Proceeds from this event benefited Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), Ted Williams Charities, and the Fisher Cats Foundation. Also as part of this program, we featured a quick rundown on road races that occured on Thanksgiving Weekend.  This program aired on November 12, 2011.

The Tax Payer Advocacy Panel

This week on Northeast Delta Dental Radio, we welcome Brian Roy from the Tax Payer Advocacy Panel. The organization is a Federal Advisory Committee made up of volunteers from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Based on input from the general public, The Tax Payer Advocacy Panel works to help taxpayers with improving IRS customer service and responsiveness to taxpayer needs. The mission of the organization states: "A diverse group of citizen volunteers whose mission is to listen to taxpayers, identify taxpayers' issues and make suggestions for improving IRS service and customer satisfaction." American Heart Association

Toastmasters International is an organization that is dedicated to helping its members refine their speaking and leadership skills. Northeast Delta Dental hosts Horseshoe Pond Toastmasters, a club which it chartered, meeting weekly on Wednesdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. Join Tom Raffio and charter member of Horseshoe Pond Toastmasters Betty Andrews, sharing insights about the benefits of Toastmasters training.  This program aired on October 22, 2011.

The YWCA

The YWCA is an international women's membership organization with a local chapter in Manchester, NH. Join Tom Raffio and Monica Zulauf, Executive Director as they share about some of the YWCA programs that include; crisis services, supervised visitation and exchange center, parent education and support programs, and youth and teen programs.  This program aired on October 15, 2011.
