Tim Soucy of the Manchester Public Health Department joins Tom on this weekend's broadcast. Tim will share with us the history of the department and its oral health programs. Their main program is a school based dental clinic that serves 18 schools; of which approximately 2,000 second and third graders received 'no touch' screenings, 650 children received cleanings and fluoride treatments, and 170 received restorative treatments. The Manchester Public Health Department also partners with CMC's Poisson Dental Clinic and the Easter Seals Dental Clinic. The Bridges House recently went through a renovation and reconstruction project in 2012. Dr. Susan Lynch and Cindy McLauglin joined us on this podcast to share about the reconstruction project, what was accomplished, and what the future plans for the home are. Following the project completion, the house was opened to the public for a variety of holiday themed events that included a Designer Showcase, Mother Daughter Tea, Seminars, Candlelight Tour, Holiday Centerpiece workshop, 'Antique Road-house' Appraisal Day, and a Family Day with museum docents in period dress. The Bridges House is the executive residence for the Governor of the State of New Hampshire and was generously given to the state in 1969 by former Governor and United States Senator Styles Bridges and his family.
