Calling all golfers! The 19th Annual Dr. Thurston J. Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Breakfast Hill Golf Club in Greenland, NH. Joe Kasper joins Tom Raffio on this weekend's broadcast to share about the tournament, its history, and purpose. The tournament is a fund-raiser for the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation and all net proceeds will be used to fund oral health programs in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont and to fund Northeast Delta Dental's own program, Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness (P.A.N.D.A.). What is New Horizons for New Hampshire? Join us on Northeast Delta Dental Radio as Charlie Sherman, Executive Director for New Horizons shares with us about the organization. In a nutshell, New Horizons is an adult homeless shelter, a soup kitchen, food pantry, and operates Angie’s Shelter for Women. The homeless shelter provides meals, a place to stay, and a variety of services for the clients. Angie’s Shelter provides a safe structured, home-like environment for women 18+ that need to rebuild their lives. The soup kitchen serves breakfast and dinner daily – about 250 meals each day. The food pantry provides groceries to impoverished families and individuals in the Manchester area.
