On Thursday, July 19, the World Run-Paddle Biathlon Championship will be held at the boat ramp on the NHTI campus. Tom Walton is our guest on this weekend’s Northeast Delta Dental Radio show to talk about the event. What is a Run-Paddle Biathlon? The event combines the disciplines of running and paddling with a 4k trail run, followed by a 4k flat water paddle, and then finishes with a 40 meter dash. Prior to the Biathlon, there will be a fun event for the youth – a Cardboard Boat Regatta. Enjoy the conversation on the radio and see you at the boat ramp on July 19 for the event!

NH Gives on June 6-7 and is an online event designed to raise funds and awareness for nonprofits across New Hampshire. The Hoffman-Hass Fellowship is a four-month leadership development program designed to prepare the next generation of nonprofit leaders. Applications are accepted through September 12 and the next class begins in October.

It’s Memorial Day Weekend and on this special weekend, our guest is Stephen Curry from the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. Our conversation will center around the meaning of Memorial Day and will include some of the events taking place this weekend at the cemetery. We will also talk about the New Hampshire Veterans Heritage Learning Center that is being established at the cemetery with an opening and dedication set for November 11, 2018.
The mission of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery is to provide and maintain a dignified final-resting place to honor all veterans and eligible dependents which expresses the State’s gratitude for their service to the country.
