Swim With A Mission

The Big Z Challenge

Dr. Brian Hoertdoerfer joins us on Northeast Delta Dental Radio to talk about the 9^th annual Big Z Challenge.  The event is a family event where children have the opportunity to meet Boston Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara at a fun and festive party.  The theme for this year’s event is “All about Hockey.”  This is a fundraiser event with proceeds going to the Elliot Hospital Cancer Center through the Mary and John Elliot Charitable Foundation.  In the past eight years, the Big Z Challenge has raised over $150,000.  The Big Z Challenge will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.  Visit www.bigZchallenge.com for tickets and information.

What's up at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

The mission of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is "to educate, incite and entertain learners of all ages in the sciences and humanities by actively engaging them in the exploration of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space science." 

Our guest, Jeanne Gerulskis will share with us 'What's up at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center?'  We will first look back at 2019 for a short discussion on the challenges and accomplishments as well as a recap of the year's events and exhibits.  Since 2013 when the Discover Center became a nonprofit corporation, they have served over 250,000 people from the general public, schools, facility rentals, and workshops.

Treatment Choices
