For Mental Health Awareness Month, Tom Raffio interviews Jonathan Routhier, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester.

Tom Raffio welcomes JerriAnne Boggis, Executive Director of Black Heritage Trail NH. JerriAnne describes the newly created mural by Nashua-based artist Manny Ramirez of Positive Street Art, which depicts Ona Judge stepping off the ship Nancy onto the Portsmouth docks capturing the hope and excitement of her first moment of freedom. The mural is to be unveiled on May 23.

 

Tom Raffio interviews Jen Hubbell, the executive director of Girls on the Run New Hampshire. They discuss the mission and structure of Girls on the Run,  an after-school program for girls ages 8–11 that uses running and a curriculum focused on empowerment, confidence, and healthy living. Jen emphasizes that running is in the name, but the real goal is forward motion and joyfulness. Over 2.7 million girls have been reached in 30 years.

Tom Raffio interviews Amy Terravechia, the executive director of 603 Equality, a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization in New Hampshire. Dr. Cynthia Yered and D2 student Chelsea Ty join Tom Raffio to discuss the Tufts Dental School's Northern New England dental student mentorship program. The program places first-year dental students in rural, underserved practices so they can connect classroom learning to real-world care.
