The mission of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is "to educate, incite and entertain learners of all ages in the sciences and humanities by actively engaging them in the exploration of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space science."  Our guest, Jeanne Gerulskis will share with us 'What's up at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center?'  We will first look back at 2016 for a short discussion on the challenges and accomplishments as well as a recap of the year's events and exhibits.

Looking ahead to 2017, it is going to be a busy and fun year at the Discovery Center.  Special exhibits include Hubble, Great Balls of Fire, and Take Flight.  Planetarium show specials will include Dynamic Earth, Take Flight, and Life Under the Arctic Sky.  A special event will take place during the summer to coincide with the Solar Eclipse that will occur on August 21.  Stop by the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center and be sure to visit them on the web at www.starhop.com.
